Krakatau Steel grows profits in three quarters
Indonesia's PT Krakatau Steel Tbk (KRAS) posted a net profit of $82.17 million in the first three quarters of this year, up 38% from the same period in 2021.
In the first nine months of the year, the mill's combined HRC and CRC sales increased by 6.9% to 1.49 million tonnes compared to the same period in 2021. The recent rise in European energy prices has stimulated the mill's exports to Europe, Kallanish notes.
