Krakatau Steel cuts losses in 2016
Indonesia’s state-owned Krakatau Steel managed to cut its net losses attributable to the parent company by 46.35% on-year to $171.69 million in 2016, according to its results filing. The company returned to an operating profit and sales volumes were up, but it still fell far short of its targeted $50m net loss target for the year, Kallanish notes.
