Krakatau, Posco eye $3.7 billion flats cluster investment
Indonesian steelmaker Krakatau Steel intends to realise an investment of $3.7 billion next year together with Posco, Kallanish notes. The purpose is to pursue the target of having a 10 million tonne/year steel cluster in Cilegon.
The investment comprises $700 million for increasing capacity of hot rolled coil and its derivatives, and the companies will use the remaining $3 billion to add unspecified upstream facilities.
