Korean hot rolled sheet market faces negative period
South Korea’s hot rolled sheet output fell in the first six months of 2019, Kallanish notes. Prospects for the second half of the year also remain weak according to market sources.
During H1 2019, the country’s production of hot rolled sheet fell by -4.8% year-on-year to 6.05 million tonnes. This was due to a fall-off in demand from most major end-user sectors.
