Korean carmakers resist steel price increases
Carmakers in South Korea are reportedly reluctant to accept attempts by Posco and Hyundai Steel to hike autosheet prices. While Posco is citing high raw materials cost, automotive firms say higher prices could impact their sales and steel prices may not remain high for much longer, Kallanish notes.
