Korea supports Turkey's October CR flats import rise
Turkish cold-rolled (CR) flat steel imports climbed up on-year in October, again thanks to increased sourcing from South Korea, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIIK) data.
Turkey imported 100,796 tonnes of CR flats in October, up 3.9% on-year, but down -3.5% over September. The total average value/tonne of October's imports fell to $882/t from $964/t a year ago, TUIK data calculations show.
