Koç Metallurgy resumes production at below half capacity
Koç Metallurgy tells Kallanish it will start crude steel production at 40-45% capacity utilization as of 1 December, following a two-month break. As during winter demand in Central and Southern Anatolia – Koç’s main market – generally stays at minimum levels, Koç predicts capacity utilisation to stay at below 50%.
Rolling mill production will resume at half capacity on 3 December.
