Kobe Steel reports loss on lower production
Japanese steelmaker Kobe Steel reported a JPY 13.1 billion ($124.2 million) net loss in the April-June quarter due to lower steel demand, especially in the automotive sector. This loss is higher than the JPY 1.1 billion loss in the same period of last year, Kallanish notes.
