Kishiwada Steel restarts steel plant after fire
Japanese billet and rebar producer Kishiwada Steel in the Kansai Region has resumed production at its steelmaking plant since 23 April, after a fire in January, Kallanish notes.
On 4 January this year, a fire affected the whole plant, due to molten steel leaking out from the bottom of a ladle furnace during refining. The plant then suspended production.
