Kazakhstan’s steel production decreases in May
Kazakhstan’s steelmakers decreased crude steel production in January-May, according to data from the economy ministry’s statistical committee.
Output amounted to 1.78 million tonnes, down by 2.9% on-year, Kallanish notes. In May alone output reached 347,781 tonnes, less by 17.9% on-year.
In April, Kazakhstan’s production was 354,770t, less 7.5% on-year (see Kallanish passim).
