Kazakhstan’s steel output rebounds in March

Kazakhstan’s steelmakers increased crude steel production in the first quarter, according to data from the national economy ministry’s statistical committee. Output amounted to 1.04 million tonnes, up by 8.2% on-year, Kallanish notes. In March alone output reached 374,422 tonnes, more by 7.3% on-year. In February steel production fell 2.7% on-year to 320,000t (see Kallanish passim). In January-February output reached 670,000t, down by 9.3% on-year. …
