Kazakhstan's January steel production rebounds, down on-year
Kazakhstan’s steelmakers decreased crude steel production in January, according to data from the national economy ministry’s statistical committee.
Output amounted to 321,521 tonnes, down by 11.3% on-year, Kallanish notes.
However, it increased on December, when output reached 285,391t, less by 25.7% on-year.
Flat steel output in the first month of the year decreased by 9.2% to 229,474t, and was almost flat on December.
