Kazakhstan eyes new mills to increase output
Kazakhstan plans to increase steel production with the construction of four more steel plants by 2025, industry minister Kairbek Uskenbayev said during a government meeting.
Total new capacity will be 1.8 million tonnes/year, Kallanish notes. The government hopes to thereby reduce high-quality steel imports by 76%.
