Kazakhstan steel output falls despite flats increase
Kazakhstan’s steelmakers reduced crude steel production in January-July, show data from the country’s economy ministry’s statistical committee.
Output amounted to 2.17 million tonnes, down by -11.5% on-year, Kallanish notes. In July alone production was 345,158 tonnes, down by -8.6% on-year.
However, flat steel output in January-July increased by 10% to 1.41mt, and in July by 1.6% to 252,126t.
