Kazakhstan reduces steel production in April
Kazakhstan’s steelmakers reduced crude steel production in April, show data from the country’s economy ministry statistical committee.
Output amounted to 236,914 tonnes, down by -39.2% on-year, Kallanish notes. In January-April mills produced 1.2 million tonnes, down by -20.4% on-year.
However, flat steel production increased in April by 0.7% to 212,524t, and four-month output was up 22.8% to 739,127t.
