Kazakhstan launches new LDP mill for domestic demand
Kazakhstan has launched a large industrial facility for the production of large-diameter welded pipe (LDP) in the Almaty industrial zone, according to Almaty city authorities.
The plant has a design capacity of 100,000 tonnes/year, which will later be expanded to 150,000 t/y, Kallanish notes. The total project investment is KZT 33 billion ($75.4 million).
