Kazakhstan increases steel production in August
Kazakhstan’s steelmakers increased crude steel production in January-August, according to data from the economy ministry’s statistical committee.
Output amounted to 2.96 million tonnes, up by 17.9% on-year, Kallanish notes. In August alone output reached 372,869 tonnes, more by 8.4% on-year.
Flat steel output in the first eight months of the year increased by 18.9% to 198mt, and in August alone by 11.4% to 280,532t.
