Kazakhstan flats production increases despite crude steel slump
Kazakhstan’s steelmakers decreased crude steel production in November, according to data from the national economy ministry’s statistical committee.
Output amounted to 352,504 tonnes, down by -0.7% on-year, Kallanish notes. In January-November production was 3.57 million t, down by -5.5% on-year.
However, flat steel output in the first 11 months increased 22.8% to 2.28mt, and in November by 59.8% to 201,170t.
