Kazakhstan eyes steel plants for import substitution: report
Kazakhstan plans to start construction of three metallurgical enterprises in the Saran industrial zone, in the Karaganda region, according to media reports citing the regional government press service.
The authority did not reply to Kallanish request for comment before Friday deadline.
Total investments in the implementation of projects are expected at the level of KZT 230 billion ($498 million). The new enterprises will create more than 2,000 new jobs.
