Kazakhstan continues to increase steel output in April
Kazakhstan’s steelmakers increased crude steel production in January-April, according to data from the national economy ministry’s statistical committee.
Output amounted to 1.4 million tonnes, up by 17% on-year, Kallanish notes. In April alone output reached 399,960t, more by 9.4% on-year.
In March steel production increased by 7.3% on-year to 374,422t (see Kallanish passim). In January-March output reached 1.04mt, more by 8.2% on-year.
