Kardemir's domestic rebar, billet prices surge
Turkish integrated long steelmaker has sharply raised its domestic rebar and billet prices as scrap and billet import prices increased further this week, Kallanish notes.
Kardemir's 12-32mm and 12-18mm diameter rebar prices have each increased by TRY 84/tonne ($24/t) to TRY 1,864/t and TRY 1,881/t, effective 10 August. This follows an increase of TRY 34/t at the end of July.
