Kardemir mill revamp to facilitate wire rod shipments
Turkish steel producer Kardemir has placed an order with SMS for the replacement of selected key components of its wire rod mill, for the production of wire rod coils that are optimised for shipping.
The mill to be modernised is part of the SBQ plant supplied by SMS in 2013, which has an output of 700,000 tonnes/year of bar steel, bar-in-coil and wire rod.
