Kardemir sells out billet shortly after opening books
Kardemir opened billet sales in the domestic market on Tuesday at TRY 5,845-5,890/tonne ($682-687) and closed them again within hours after selling out.
150mm square, 6-12m-long billet prices were decreased by TRY 5/t from the previous price list issued on 27 May, but the fall in dollar terms was by $8/t due to the weaker lira versus the dollar. The lira was at 8.55 per dollar when Kardemir opened its books on Tuesday.
