Kardemir sales grow, profit declines in 2020
Kardemir reported a 5.76% on-year increase in primary product sales in 2020 to 2.37 million tonnes, and an 11.6% increase in liquid steel output to 2.57mt, Kallanish notes.
Pig iron sales decreased to 7,991t, while rolled steel products sales increased to 1.41mt from 1.26mt a year earlier.
The Turkish steelmaker spent TRY 433.5 million ($59.1m) on investments in 2020.
