Kardemir reports loss despite revenue recovery
Kardemir reported a 6.3% on-year increase in primary product sales in the first nine months of the year to 1.77 million tonnes, and a 14.1% increase in liquid steel output to 1.94mt, Kallanish notes.
Pig iron sales decreased to 7,741t, while rolled steel products sales increased to 1.05mt from 933,146t a year earlier.
Kardemir spent TRY 343.1 million ($42.5m) on investments in the nine months, of which TRY 20.4m was for environmental investments.
