Kardemir reduces domestic rebar prices
Turkey's Kardemir has re-opened its domestic sales with a cut in long steel prices, while billet sales remained closed, as import scrap prices dropped late last week, notes Kallanish.
The intergated long steelmaker's 12-32mm ribbed rebar and 12-18mm round rebar is now offered at TRY 2,161/tonne ($571/t) and TRY 2,178/t, effective 7 February, each down TRY 34/t. In the second half of January, Kardemir raised its domestic rebar prices by TRY 25/t each.
