Kardemir reduces domestic rebar, billet prices
Turkish integrated long steelmaker Kardemir has cut its domestic rebar and billet prices as the local rebar market signals a weakening, Kallanish notes.
Kardemir has lowered its 12-32mm and 12-18mm diameter rebar prices each by TRY 85/tonne ($24/t) to TRY 1,627/t and TRY 1,644/t respectively as from 13 June. Last month the steelmaker raised its rebar prices by a total of TRY 119/t.
