Kardemir records huge jump in first-quarter revenue
Kardemir’s first-quarter sales remained almost unchanged on-year at 565,531 tonnes. Liquid steel output, however, decreased by 5.5% to 651,168t, Kallanish notes.
Pig iron sales remained at zero, while rolled steel products sales increased to 339,702t from 310,444t a year earlier.
The Turkish steelmaker spent TRY 72.9 million ($8.78m) on investments in the first quarter.
