Kardemir re-opens rebar sales, billet sales remain closed
Turkey's Kardemir has re-opened its domestic rebar sales at higher prices, while keeping billet sales closed, Kallanish learns from the integrated steelmaker's updated price list.
Kardemir's 12-32mm and 12-18mm diameter rebar prices have each increased to TRY 1,903/t ($539/t) and TRY 1,920/t, effective 15 August, up by TRY 39/t on-week. The move follows a hike of TRY 84/t last week, a day after which rebar sales were closed.
