Kardemir raises rebar as lira hits new low
Kardemir has increased 12-32mm diameter rebar prices for the domestic market by TRY 58/tonne ($12) to TRY 2,618/t ($539) ex-works, excluding 18% VAT, Kallanish learns from the Turkish integrated steelmaker. This comes as the lira weakened to a new all-time low of 4.95 per dollar on Tuesday on concerns over Turkey’s economy.
