Kardemir raises domestic rebar prices as scrap soars
Turkish integrated long steelmaker Kardemir has raised its domestic rebar prices as scrap import prices increased further this week, Kallanish notes.
Kardemir's 12-32mm and 12-18mm diameter rebar prices have each increased by TRY 34/tonne ($9.6/t) to TRY 1,780/t and TRY 1,797/t, effective 27 July. This follows an increase by a total of TRY 119/t in the first two weeks of July.
