Kardemir eyes second-quarter billet sales decrease

Kardemir plans to sell a higher share of semi-finished product than rebar again in the second quarter, as it did in Q1. Overall Q2 sales, however, are projected to decrease by 5.3% compared to the Q1 target, to 553,000 tonnes. The Turkish integrated steelmaker plans to sell 142,000t of rebar, up 4,000t, and 137,000t of wire rod, up 1,000t on Q1.
