Kardemir eyes second-quarter billet sales decrease
Kardemir plans to sell a higher share of semi-finished product than rebar again in the second quarter, as it did in Q1. Overall Q2 sales, however, are projected to decrease by 5.3% compared to the Q1 target, to 553,000 tonnes.
The Turkish integrated steelmaker plans to sell 142,000t of rebar, up 4,000t, and 137,000t of wire rod, up 1,000t on Q1. Sections, including rail, sales are expected to increase by 1,000t to 107,000t.
