Kardemir opens rebar, rod sales above market prices
Kardemir opened sales for rebar and wire rod in its domestic market on 9 September, Kallanish notes.
Rebar in diameters of 12-32mm and 36-40mm were each increased by TRY 880/tonne ($48/t) to TRY 12,575/t ($690/t) and TRY 12,665/t ($695/t) respectively, versus Kardemir’s previous list on 26 August.
Prices for 5.5-56mm diameter wire rod were meanwhile increased by $45/t to $700-765/t, from Kardemir's list on 1 September.
