Kardemir closes billet sales soon after reducing price
Kardemir published a new price list and opened sales for billet in its domestic market on 29 July, Kallanish notes.
150mm square, 6-12m-long billet prices were decreased by $5/tonne from the previous price list issued on 15 June to $677-682/t.
Prices quoted are ex-works and exclude 18% VAT.
Kardemir closed billet sales again within hours after selling out 84,000 tonnes.
The exchange rate stood at 8.51 lira per dollar on Thursday.
