Kardemir lowers billet prices, offers discounts
Turkey's benchmark BF-based mill Kardemir has opened domestic sales for billet on Tuesday at $535/tonne for 150mm S235JR grade and $550/t ex-works for B420 grade, each down by $5/t from the previous list on 25 July, Kallanish notes.
These price levels exclude 20% VAT. There is a $15 and $20/t discount for billet orders over 5,000t and 10,000t respectively. There is an additional discount of 1% for orders over 500t in case of cash payment.
