Kardemir lifts domestic rebar prices, billet sales closed
Turkey's Kardemir has re-opened its domestic rebar sales at higher prices, in line with rising scrap import prices and improving demand, notes Kallanish. The integrated long steelmaker's billet sales remain closed.
Kardemir's 12-32mm ribbed rebar and 12-18mm round rebar prices have each gone up by TRY 42/tonne to TRY 2,284/t ($603/t) and TRY 2,301/t respectively, effective 27 February. This follows a hike by TRY 81/t on 13 February.
