Kardemir to install new concast line
Turkish integrated long steelmaker Kardemir will install a new continuous casting line in order to raise its continuous casting capacity to 3.5 million tonnes/year.
The new, No 4 concast line, will have 1.25m t/y capacity. The steelmaker plans to carry out the project in 16 months from its commencement and put the line in operation in 2019, it says in a bourse filing seen by Kallanish.
