Kardemir increases prices in new list
Turkish long steelmaker Kardemir has increased all prices in its new price list for the domestic market, mostly due to the depreciation of the lira, Kallanish notes.
The steelmaker increased its 12-32mm diameter rebar list price for its home market by TRY 324/tonne to TRY 2,839/t ($407/t) ex-works. In dollar terms, this has increased from the previous price of $377/t. The price of 12-18mm diameter round bar was also raised by TRY 324/t to TRY 2,856/t.
