Kardemir hikes rebar as lira retreats again
Kardemir has further hiked its rebar price for the domestic market after the lira depreciated again against the dollar since the previous price revision last week.
The firm raised 12-32mm diameter rebar prices by a whopping TRY 263/tonne ($40) to TRY 3,450/t ($522) ex-works, with 12-18mm dia round bar hiked the same amount to TRY 3,467/t.
Wire rod prices, meanwhile, have been increased TRY 130/t to TRY 3,750-3,830/t, depending on size and grade.
