Kardemir hikes domestic rebar, billet prices
Turkish integrated long steelmaker Kardemir has raised its domestic rebar prices and re-opened billet sales at higher prices last week, reflecting improved local demand, Kallanish notes.
Kardemir's 12-32mm and 12-18mm diameter rebar is offered at TRY 1,712/tonne ($479/t) and TRY 1,729/t from 12 May, up by TRY 64/t from the previous, 9 May price list. The move follows an increase by TRY 25/t the week before.
