Kardemir eyes increased billet sales in third quarter
Kardemir plans to increase its billet sales on-quarter in the third quarter of 2024, with planned wire rod tonnages declining and rebar and profile tonnages increasing slightly, Kallanish notes.
The Turkish steelmaker is eyeing 162,000 tonnes of rebar sales in Q3 versus its Q2 plan of 160,000t.
Planned wire rod sales decrease significantly to 88,000t from 109,000t in Q2.
Billet sales are seen at 248,000t versus 212,000t in Q2.
