Kardemir eyes increased billet, reduced rebar sales

Kardemir plans to increase the share of semi-finished product and decrease the share of rebar in third quarter sales versus the second quarter. This is a reverse of its strategy in Q2 versus Q1. Overall Q3 sales are projected to increase 8% compared to the Q2 target to 581,500t. The Turkish integrated steelmaker plans to sell 135,000 tonnes of rebar in Q3, which is down -17% on its Q2 sales target, while wire rod sales are projected at 111,500t, down -1%. Sā€¦
