Kardemir doubles first-half revenue
Kardemir almost doubled revenue in the first half of 2021, increasing it by 96% on-year to TRY 6.37 billion ($751 million). This helped the firm post a net profit of TRY 1.42 billion compared to a net loss of TRY 267.7m a year ago. Ebitda margin rose to 32.7% from 9.9%, Kallanish notes.
Kardemir’s primary product sales remained almost unchanged from last year at 1.18 million tonnes, despite a 0.17% increase in liquid steel output to 1.29mt.
