Kardemir cuts domestic rebar prices as lira appreciates
Turkish integrated long steelmaker Kardemir has reduced its domestic rebar prices as the lira has been gaining value, while billet sales remain closed, Kallanish notes.
Kardemir's 12-32mm and 12-18mm diameter rebar prices have declined by TRY 51/tonne each to TRY 1,593/t ($444/t) and TRY 1,610/t with effect from 25 April. This follows a rise of TRY 17/t on 13 April.
Wire rod prices have also decreased by TRY 50/t to TRY 1,700-1,730/t.…
