Kametstal’s production surges despite Russian-Ukrainian war
Metinvest’s Kametstal steelworks increased crude steel and pig iron production in 2022 despite the ongoing Russian invasion into Ukraine, Kallanish notes.
The plant increased steel production by 68% on-year to 1.56 million tonnes. However, in the fourth quarter of 2022, Kametstal produced 250,000 tonnes, down 2% compared to the third quarter of last year.
