Kametstal resumes pig iron production amid blackouts
Metinvest’s Kametstal steelworks has resumed some production after the Russian missile attack on Ukraine on 23 November, which led to an emergency shutdown of the enterprise, Kallanish notes.
Diagnostics and repair of the main equipment have been completed, it claims. “Currently, the plant produces pig iron in one blast furnace,” Metinvest says.
