Kallanish discontinues HMS 1 cfr India assessment
Following the conclusion of a feedback period, Kallanish has decided to discontinue its HMS 1 scrap (UAE origin) cfr India price assessment, effective 18 October.
The assessment has become difficult to carry out due to dwindling trade volumes. Although United Arab Emirates scrap exports continued to India after UAE imposed its scrap export ban, Indian Customs is now enforcing a ban on UAE-origin scrap imports into India.
