June DRI production in MENA rises on-year
June direct reduced iron production across six countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) totalled 5.27 million tonnes, down 3.2% from May, with only Egypt bucking the trend.
However, the tonnage is an 8.3% increase from the 4.87mt produced in June 2023. Moreover, MENA DRI production in the first half increased 5.5% on-year to 26.61mt, Kallanish observes.
