Julida to commission new EAF in Yunnan
Yunnan Yonggang Iron & Steel Group's Julida Steel expects to commission one new electric arc furnace in March using capacity from three old EAFs in Yunnan, according to Kunming's Bureau of Industry and Information Technology.
Julida will commission one 100-tonne EAF with 750,000 t/year steelmaking capacity to replace 1 million t/y of capacity from one 50-tonne EAF and two 35-tonne EAFs, which were dismantled in December 2018.
