JSW Steel restarts furnace, reports November output slump
JSW Steel has restarted the blast furnace at its Salem works after it was shut down in October due to the slowdown in automotive sector demand. The firm’s crude steel production fell -7% on-year in November to 1.29 million tonnes, although this was up 3% on October.
Flat products output fell -1% on-year in November to 909,000t and longs production was down -14% to 299,000t.
